Advisory since 1998
For companies in the middle of something difficult
We work with mid-market businesses through the changes that are too big to absorb and too important to get wrong. Usually somebody has already tried once.
What we do
Four practices, one team
Most engagements touch more than one of these. You get the people you need rather than the people a practice head needs to keep busy.
Strategy & advisory
Where the business should go next, argued from evidence rather than from the loudest voice in the room.
Operations
Process, supply chain and the unglamorous work of making a company do the same thing twice reliably.
Technology
System selection, migration and the difficult conversation about what to decommission.
People & change
Restructures, integrations and getting the organization to actually adopt what was decided.
How we work
We are not interested in a deck you file away
Most of our engagements start because a previous piece of advice did not survive contact with the business. The analysis was fine. Nobody could act on it.
Weeks 1–3
Diagnose
Interviews, data and a week on site. We come back with the problem as we found it, which is not always the problem in the brief.
Weeks 4–8
Design
Options with costs, risks and the honest case against each one. You choose; we do not pretend there is only one answer.
Weeks 9+
Deliver
We stay until it is working, then hand over to the people who will run it — with the training to do so.

Merging two organizations that did not want to merge
Eighteen months of integration work, and a retention rate nobody in the sector believed.
94% retention
A conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies something
Forty-five minutes with a partner, no pitch deck. If we are not right for the work we will say so and suggest who is.
